On March 18, 2026, a joint kick-off meeting at the Technical University of Braunschweig marked the official launch of the 6G-MIMO-Link research project.

The goal of the project is to develop a flexibly scalable Massive MIMO radio unit. This is based on the innovative Smart Pixel approach, which opens up new possibilities for high-performance radio systems of the next generation of mobile communications.

The in-person meeting provided the project partners with numerous opportunities for technical exchange and joint coordination. The focus was on coordinating the individual work steps for the next three years as well as initial concrete plans for the technical implementation of the demonstrator.

This successful kickoff laid an important foundation for further collaboration. The project partners are now looking forward to three years of joint research and development.
